On PlayStation (PS5/PS4)

  1. Access Your Profile: From the main menu, before entering modes like Diamond Dynasty, press Up on the D-pad to highlight your Profile Icon in the top-left corner.
  2. Toggle Crossplay Off: Within your profile menu, locate the Crossplay option and switch it to Off.
  3. Note: If the toggle is greyed out or unavailable, make sure you are not already inside a sub-mode like Diamond Dynasty. Always adjust this from the main menu.

On Xbox (Series X|S / One)

Sometimes the in-game crossplay option is locked on Xbox. In this case, you can disable it through system settings:

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the Xbox Guide.
  2. Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account.
  3. Select Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy.
  4. Choose View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer.
  5. Find "You can join cross-network play" and set it to Block.
  6. Restart MLB The Show 26 to make sure the changes take effect.

Important Considerations

  • Matchmaking Times: With crossplay off, you will only match with players on the same console family who also have crossplay disabled. This can increase wait times.
  • Server Stability: Some players turn off crossplay as a troubleshooting step if they experience login or server issues.

By following these steps, you can enjoy MLB The Show 26 without crossplay interruptions, keeping your games console-specific and potentially avoiding certain online issues.
