Do you start talking right away or take your time?

Whenever I join a new place online, I usually spend a few days quietly reading discussions before getting involved. I always wonder if other people do the same thing or if I just overthink everything. Recently I came across gayteam and started thinking about how long people normally take before they feel comfortable enough to join conversations.

You are definitely not overthinking it; lurking before participating is a completely normal way to get a feel for a community's culture. Whether you are navigating a new forum or diving into a community centered around an Ok 37 game information , taking a few days to read the room helps you understand the unwritten rules and group dynamics before jumping into the conversation.
