I've been slowly building up my Patrol for overlanding trips, and the electrical system is starting to feel the strain with all the extra gear I've added. Between the winch, auxiliary lights, a 65L fridge, and a few USB chargers for the kids' tablets, I'm starting to worry that my standard battery just isn't going to cut it on longer trips. I've been looking at upgrading to a 200Ah battery, and Amaron keeps coming up in conversations as a reliable brand for the UAE heat. I'm wondering if anyone here has actually used a 200Ah Amaron in their overlanding vehicle and can tell me how it performed during multi-day trips. Specifically, I'm curious about how long it lasts when running a fridge and lights overnight, and whether the alternator on a Patrol can keep it charged properly. Also, did you need to upgrade the alternator or add a dual-battery system, or does the stock setup handle it fine? I don't want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere because I didn't plan properly. Any real-world advice from people who've been through this would be massively helpful because I want to get this right before my next trip.
