So I was driving home yesterday and suddenly the check engine light pops up on my Ford Taurus, and honestly my heart sank because I've had this car for years without any major issues and I'm worried this might be the start of something expensive. The car still drives fine as far as I can tell, no weird noises, no loss of power, nothing obviously wrong, but the light staying on is obviously concerning and I don't want to just ignore it in case it's something serious.
